Chapters

When you were born,
I poured my love through you
And carried you along with the eagles
As the seasons changed you flew with them
Higher and higher
So high I could no longer see you
And just when the world seemed so small
And I no longer felt your presence
I cried for you
When all I could do was offer you my tears
To wash away the pain
And when my tears dried
I sighed for you
When my breath of life was all I had left
I filled my lungs with your pain
I couldn't take it away,
But I could share it
And when I could live no more,
I held you up with my lifeless body
Never wanting you to touch the ground
To be so close that your spirit be breathed from the air
