In Your Eyes

When I look into your eyes
I see the little boy you once were
Looking at the world with wide-eyed innocence
Believing in fairy tales
And in the monsters and witches that
Inhabited them
When I look into your eyes
I see the young man you once were
So unsure of yourself
And your place in this world
Stumbling along your way
And easily flustered around women

When I look into your eyes
I see the Adult that you are now
Sure of yourself
Full of wisdom and charm
Regarding the world in silence
Laughing and witty on the surface
But underneath
A sharp eye that misses nothing
Ever protecting of your Lady
Your Faith is your shield
Truth, your sword
And Honor, your armor
All this I see
In your eyes
